About Opening Harmonies
As emerging musicians, we founded Opening Harmonies to combat the negative stigma around classical music in young audiences and use its benefits to increase mental health awareness. We digitally transcribe pop music from artists like Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, or Coldplay into classical renditions for our harp-piano-cello trio. We then perform these pieces in public spaces like children’s hospitals, summer camps, Boys & Girls Clubs, public libraries, and senior centers in Greater Boston. These pieces are also recorded and published online for anyone to access. You can listen to us on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok!
We hope to introduce teenagers to the versatility and mental health benefits of classical instruments and use music as a medium to unite and inspire communities.
